In June 1996, with a 50 : 50 equity ratio with diesel engine manufacturing as its main business, DCEC engine company was established in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, with a registered capital of more than 100 million U.S. dollars, covering an area of 270,000 square meters, and employing more than 2,200 people.
