DCEC 6CTA8.3 series pump drive engine is a 6-cylinders in line, 8.3 liters four-strokes engine with 114mm bore and 135mm stroke. DCEC 6CTA8.3 series pump drive engine equipped with mechanical fuel pump and electronic governor. The prime power range for 1500RPMof DCEC 6CTA8.3 series pump drive engine is from 163 kW to 183 kW. The prime power range for 1800RPM of DCEC 6CTA8.3 series pump drive engine is from 170 kW to 190 kW.

DCEC pump drive engines have different configurations which have different power output, with code T in the engine model name means turbocharged engine, code TA in the engine model means turbocharge with water-air intercooler and code TAA in the engine model means turbocharge with air-air intercooler.
